Fat Toney always knew that food was his calling. Even as a little boy, (little for Toney, that is). Fat Toney used to load up his red wagon with home-made sandwiches and iced tea and waddle around the neighborhood searching for customers. One day he heard a voice, “cook it and they will come!” So Fat Toney swore that if people had to eat, they would eat good. It turns out that the voice was just Toney’s stomach growling for another sandwich. Nevertheless, a few years and a lot more pounds later, Fat Toney is serving the people of St. Louis great bar-b-que, because he never could ignore his stomach.

Even though we started in 1963, our hours are still the same. Sunday through Thursday, we are smoking for you from 11 am to 9 pm. Fridays and Saturdays, we keep the smoker going from 11 am to 10 pm or so. As Fat Toney says, “if you gotta eat, eat good” and that means eating world famous BBQ at Fat Toney's. See you soon!
